Last Sunday, Mom had a stall in the local farm market. She was selling pillows, bags, nightgowns and other sewn items. The market runs everyother Sunday in the summer, along one of the oldest' streets in Ladner, and there is one market left. In exchange for helping her I got a free bolster pillow. Good times, I love it, it's pink! (kind of looks like a giant dinosaur pill)
I do have a point behind this blog, but I'm just building up to it!
Last night Mom and I were sitting around the kitchen table (which we do A LOT!) and she was thumbing through a 'sew news' magazine and came across a skirt which remeinded her of something that had happened at the market while I was taking a walk:
"The other day at the market a girl, well woman I suppose, came into the stall and she had the most intersting skirt on, a little short, and a bit mish-mashed in styles, but I actually complimented her on it.
'Oh I really like your skirt'
'Oh yeah....' she gumbled back
"She continued to look at the night gowns (this is still Mom talking) and came across the short one and I said:
'Oh yes, that one can be worn as a nighty or as a shirt on the street!'
'Well you couldn't wear it in Vancouver!' She replied indignantly.
"Well anyways(Mom still), she wandered off, obviously not purchasing anything.....what I should have said was:
'Oh I really like your skirt, it's saves you from having to wear a nametag that says 'Ho'!'
"Well I should have!...."
Mom and I continued to repeat this line ("Well it's saves you from having to wear a nametag that says 'Ho'.") at random moments of silence thoughout the evening, afterwhich we both burst into fits of giggles, and it felt like I never went away.

Well I might just start writing in this again...
Well I didn't write in this blog once really when I was in England, and I really should have! Oh well, live and learn!
I figure I might as well write in this again, but of course, I always say that every summer, and then all of a sudden September rolls around and I have no time to write in this! I might just try to make this year, the exception...maybe!
Well right now my family is over, and were having pasta!!! Good times! It's a little odd right now because when I say my family I literally mean all my family that's in the lower mainland right now.
This is a rare occurance for us right now. Uncle, Aunt, and Youngest are currently heading to somewhere near Edmonton, to pick up Middle Child, who has spend the summer working at an air cadet camp.
They are going to be near Brother who has been in Edmonton for the summer, also at camp.
Soon Family will all be home, and we can have real family dinners, but for right now it's just me, Mom, 360 Days Cousin, and Uncle Who's Not , who talks a lot and is currently going on and on and on about how 360 Days Cousin and I couldn't read an instructional pamphlet to save our lives....oh gosh....how funny! ( SARCASM!!!!)

The worst sentence in the english language
There was a swab from the walnut ointment kiosk that was used and moist.
I Will...
I Will Lines ( to be said in a monotone voice):
I will smother you in your sleep
I will run you over with my car
I will eat your first born child
I will put you under my house and crush you with it
I will kill your family
I will call the police...and you will go to jail
I will shoot you with a stapler
I will destroy you
I will obliterate you
I will eat your face
I will send you to space in a rocket and you will never come back...ever
I will set your house on fire
I will set your clothes on fire
I will set YOU on fire
I will poison you...with arsenic....or cyanide
I will force feed you...till you die
I will set a plauge of locusts on you
I will hire a witch and curse you
I will make a voo doo doll of you....and put pins in it....lots of pins
I will send you to France
I will shoot you...in the face
I will hold you at gun point..for many hours
I will put you through Chinese Water tourture
I will make you learn Chinese
I will make you eat a whole wheel of cheese
I will drop you from a plane
I will cut your internet connection
I will......any more?
Vanessa's: I will send my attack falcon on you
I will make you into road splatter
I will smother you in your sleep

Still here
So while I have been here almost 3 months and have failed to write another entry since my 1st one here, I will.
It will have to be brief because the keyboard I'm writing on wobbles and I'm not in my own cottage and I have to go do laundry soon! I am currently less battered, bruised and beaten then ususal, but only because I haven't actually been working in my own class the last 2 days, I've been helping in other classes.
The weather here is ABSOLUTLY rididculous! They think it's going to SNOW tonight!! SNOW!!! I was told Elngland was LUCKY to see a little snow....in January...but this is November!! Its getting to AT LEAST -5 degrees each night if not lower and the heating system in our 400+ old cottage is radiators...which break regularly!
I'm still enjoying the work as much as I ever did...which is surprisingly a lot, and I've found my very own soap opera to watch everyday at 6:30...Hollyoaks...so I'm happy! I am actaully imagining missing this place when I have to leave next August! I know I'm really going to miss the girls.
Katie-Ann...Shes the actress!
Michelle...Shes from Toronto/The BVI's...very independent!
Maria...Shes in her room...a lot!
Anne...A very sporty German!Love her!
Katie...Shes the quite girl from the Island.
Annika...Shes the youngest not including me ( I am officially the youngest...by about 8 months!)
AND...best for last
Sonja...Shes my roommate, and is totally and completly awsome...and were the same size!! YES!!
I'm finding myself getting really attached to the kids, and I'm going to miss them so much more when I leave then anyone else! They have been through sooo much in their lives and just the fact that they even let me in a little makes them braver then I could EVER be! I actually admire them.
The staff here are soo cool, and really funny, especially a paticular few, who I can really joke around with and they are soo funny!
Well I got to go do my laundry now...ahhh the joys of living too far away to take my laundry home!
