So I’ve been 31 for just over a week now. I don’t know how different I feel, but I do always love when people ask. I think my answer depends more on the asker than my actual feelings.
My 20-year-old classmates usually get the quick and self-deprecating, “Old.” Followed quickly by a short litany about feeling your age vs acting it. Most people here seem to agree I don’t look my age (in a good Anna Felicityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15027766818068398096noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5806458.post-80095203646521500742017-12-02T04:42:00.000-08:002017-12-02T04:42:36.979-08:00I have some news
Sitting here in my apartment, blanket scarf wrapped around me, and the kettle soon coming to a boil for another cup of tea, I'm quietly listening to the sounds around me. The distinct clamour of church bells and an overbearing siren alarm suddenly reminds me I have had some fairly drastic news as of late and have neglected to share it.
So...&Anna Felicityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15027766818068398096noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5806458.post-85231982104508844952017-03-17T16:31:00.002-07:002017-03-17T16:31:55.424-07:00I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream!Last weekend P and I went to the Museum of Anthroplogy to check out their Layers of Influence: Unfolding Cloth Across Cultures exhibit.
The exhibit was fascinating, and the first display you read truly set you up to really take in the weight of what you were about to see, "From birth to death, humans are wrapped in cloth worn for survival, but more importantly, wear clothing as an external Anna Felicityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15027766818068398096noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5806458.post-9358090640288424002017-03-03T14:29:00.001-08:002017-03-03T14:29:15.372-08:00Third time's a charm...
It recently came to my attention that a friend of mine
somehow found my blog. It was unclear while we were yelling at each other over

I currently work in the 'fast fashion' industry. I'm not sure if
I'm going to stay in this field my whole life (I strongly suspect not) but for
now, it pays the bills and... I get the clothes at wholesale!
Even at a discounted rate, I can't help
but think of the cost fast fashion has on our planet. Living in Vancouver, I
and my contemporaries are becoming increasingly aware of the footprint Anna Felicityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15027766818068398096noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5806458.post-36046028362950992822014-03-07T10:41:00.001-08:002014-03-07T10:41:07.296-08:00Oil Pulling is wierdHave you heard about it?
Oil Pulling.
It's weird.
So here's the deal:
1) Get some coconut oil (or apparently sesame oil works too)
2) Get that s*it it in your mouth
3) Swish-it, swish-it gooood... 20 minutes
4) Spit it out into the garbage (not down your drains cause it's going to solidify once its out of the warm inviting crevice of your oral cavity.

Well with
January first this came the expected resolutions (quit drinking), the obvious
ones I’m not going to keep (quit drinking), and the ones I’m going to give my
best efforts to keep (run a 5km race in March).
My lovely
sister (in-law) suggested we do a cleansing detox the first week of January. I

Well, I can’t actually remember where I came across this, but it's well worth a watch.
The creator, Matthew Clarke of Warmland Films only started the Youtube channel on May 18, 2013, and already his first video (seen above) has had over 5,000,000 hits! It’s a viral hit, as well it should be!

Before the bridge
My birthday was on June 9th, and in celebration of turning a completely arbitrary age, ie. a none-milestone age, I decided I wanted to go the Capilano Suspension Bridge for the day.
After the bridge, and still talking to me?
Well for the day didn’t really happen, cause we were completely lazy and didn’t actually get out of the house until about 3. On Saturday I went to Boo’s Bridal shower.
Boo did something quite interesting with her shower(s). She had two.
The first one was for the ‘ladies’, which included the moms, grandmas, aunts, and from what I can gather, the ‘experienced’ ones.
My mom was invited to that one, and lovingly referred to it at the ‘old farts’ shower. They were asked to bring a recipe card with favorite/no Anna Felicityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15027766818068398096noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5806458.post-80502927869370435562013-04-04T11:00:00.000-07:002013-04-04T11:59:55.023-07:00It's all coming up weddingsOkay, well it's not ALL coming up weddings, but I am attending a few lovely nuptials in the near and distant future, along with all the requisite stagettes, showers, and tea parties.
Last summer, my brother and my cousin both got married (a week apart) and I had the honour of being in both wedding parties. I've done ombré with nail polish layering, but this is way more fun!
The idea is: you add black and white to whatever colour you choose and create an ombré effect acorss all your nails.
What you'll need:
A coloured nail polish
White nail polish
Black nail polish

The presale tickets have already sold out, but rush tickets are available at the door for the afternoon and evening events an hour an half after doors open.
I think as a Canadian it's my duty to try to get in. I'm aiming for Sunday afternoon (So 1:30 on Sunday I am there!).
Who wants to join me?

Mounted VPD escort
On Sunday I watched the Seaforth Highlanders march out of their armoury and down 4th Ave to their new temporary home at the Jericho Garrison, aptly loved in Jericho. The weather wasn't perfect, I'm guessing someone stepped in some horse poop at some point (left by the Mounted escort from the VPD, there was presumable no other horses on west 4th that.), there were Anna Felicityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02447803112876766801noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5806458.post-72137562318851302412012-09-12T14:04:00.000-07:002012-09-13T17:42:11.946-07:00Leave a lasting impression indeed!I subscribe to a lot of on-line shops newletters, and trend setting sites. And I mean A LOT!
Shoes, home décor, clothing, art, jewellery, nail polish, beauty tips, exercise routines, recipes (both good for you and deliciously bad for you), life hacks, health, yoga, even a few tech newletters, costumes and even a few historical societies.

It's always dangerous when I get into this state, because by the time I get around to sitting down with my glue gun, a little bit of glitter (okay a lot of glitter) and some kind of surface (be it fabric, paper or wall), the result is neither creative nor attractive.

I over exaggerate EVERYTHING! I do for good reason of course, and that's because most things in life are pretty amazing!
I’d rather have a life of simple joys, rather than waiting for the big moments to sweep me off my feet. Every moment in life can be ‘Anna Felicityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02447803112876766801noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5806458.post-21377490617127103452012-03-26T23:02:00.009-07:002012-03-27T13:59:47.205-07:00Gluing my life (and fingers) together....I've never been one to craft for every season, occasion, or event I come across. I’ve always been more of a ‘fly by the seat of my pants, create when the inspiration hits’ type.
Today those two things managed to find each other in the form of a lovely easter/springtime wreath.
The whole procedure actually started a few days ago, when I came across this lovely little idea from Alissa, via my Anna Felicityhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02447803112876766801noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5806458.post-46245688426928488112012-03-20T21:49:00.003-07:002012-03-21T13:42:27.461-07:00Carpet Cleaning... bliss?I love my dogs, Harold and Kumar, and while they have comical and endearing names, what they left for me on the carpet this morning was neither comical nor endearing. My semi-conscious ‘dance’ to avoid stepping in dog puke was probably hilarious to the outside observer, but ended in my hitting the wall, tripping, and stepping in yet another ‘doggie present’.

I discovered Pinterest, and I'm hooked! (My account name is Anna Felicity, check it out!)
To that end, I finally actually tried something I saw and repinned on Pinterest!
I saw an instructional video from Birchbox on how to do simple Hollywood Waves, and here's the result:
